Why we're meeting
Understand what circular infrastructure initiatives need to thrive and grow, so that every neighbourhood in our region is served by a strong set of them.
The Sharing and Circular Innovations Society brings together municipal planners, developers, tool libraries, makerspaces, and repair cafes to explore how circular infrastructure can be formally recognized and funded as essential community infrastructure.
The morning is a hands-on working session for Vancouver Island. Local organizations, planners, and developers do the policy work together. In the afternoon, the room opens up: provincial, national, and international voices join remotely to enrich the proposals and help build a shared statement.
Access to equipment
Every neighbourhood needs a way to borrow tools and equipment instead of buying them.
A place to fix things
Somewhere to repair what breaks, and keep it out of the landfill.
Space to learn and build
A workshop to safely learn, design, and fabricate in an inclusive environment.
Made possible with support from the City of Victoria through the My Great Neighbourhood Grants program.
